Benidorm lies to the Northeast of Alicante and is the Costa Blanca's liveliest holiday resort. Benidorm is known for its fantastic weather and party atmosphere, homing over 1000 restaurants and 30 discos. Surrounded by high mountains, Benidorm is protected from high winds, making it the perfect holiday destination whatever time of year.

During the summer months, Benidorm is swamped by primarily British and Irish couples and families looking for a fun filled, activity based holiday. Boasting two beautiful long sandy beaches, called Levante and Poniente (Sunrise and Sunset), Benidorm offers a wide choice of water activities. If you still want fun but want to venture away from the beach for the day, head to Terra Mitica, Mundomar or Aqualandia aqua parks, a perfect way to keep the kids entertained on holiday.

Benidorm has a party carnival feel about it during the day, and a bustling, buzzing nightlife, it's one of the biggest nightspots on the Mediterranean. There is plenty of nightlife to suit all tastes, from bars hosting quizzes and karaoke, to drag shows and live bands. If you're looking to dance the night away then head to Wheeltappers, Sinatras, the Palladium or Stardust Benidorm.

There are lots of restaurants to choose from in Benidorm, ranging from deluxe Spanish cuisine to American fast food outlets. Some of the most famous restaurants include China Garden, India Gate, Mme Butterfly and Witches Bistro. Traditional tapas still available as well

If you want to escape the chaos for a few hours and discover Benidorm's historic past, head into Casco Antiguo where you'll find ruins of the 14th century castle. From here you'll be able to view Benidorm's spectacular sunsets.

Accommodation is primarily situated overlooking the beach. The high rise buildings house hotels and self catering apartments. There are over 35,000 hotel beds to choose from so finding a hotel to suit your needs shouldn't be a problem. Make sure you book early if holidaying in the summer months as many places get booked up in advance.
