Santa Eulalia (Spain)

Search: Holidays in Countries, Resorts and hotels

Situated on the east of the island of Ibiza, a mere 21 km drive from the capital of Ibiza Town, Santa Eulalia is the perfect holiday destination for couples or families who are looking for a more relaxed holiday.

Much of the activity in Santa Eulalia centres around the broad, sandy beach and the splendid palm lined promenade that runs the length of the beach and was reclaimed from the sea. The promenade is the perfect place to take an early evening stroll and enjoy a drink or dinner in one of the superb restaurants or bars whilst enjoying the amazing view of the sparkling Mediterranean.

Santa Eulalia has long been known as the cultural and gastronomical centre of Ibiza and there are plenty of restaurants, shops and art galleries to keep even the most discerning holiday maker happy. The yacht marina offers a sophisticated shopping, dining and nightlife experience whilst those looking for something a little more individual on holiday should visit the San Jaime Plaza which is full of stalls selling local products and artisan crafts.

In true Mediterranean style, the Calle San Vincente or Street of Restaurants is closed to through traffic in the early evening and becomes alive with the sounds of laughter and tinkling glasses as bronzed holiday makers and locals alike enjoy the intoxicating atmosphere.

If you become bored with the beach, shopping and art galleries take a walk across the lovely Roman bridge up to the summit of the Puig de Missa or Hill of Mass to the fascinating 16th century Church of our Lady of Jesus and take in the wonderful vista of the surrounding area.
For something a little different try taking the Santa Eulalia Express road train. Enjoy the views over the beautiful countryside before stopping off at a typical Spanish cantina' where you can browse through a selection of local antiques and crafts whilst enjoying a cool refreshing drink.

Accommodation is available in Santa Eulalia to suit every taste and budget. Choose from 5* hotel and spa resorts, to self catering apartments or even traditional hotels set in the surrounding countryside.
