You will find Costa Teguise in the south east of Lanzarote. It is the smallest of the main resorts on the island and has not long been developed for holiday makers. This is a friendly resort and a favourite with families and couples
The size of the resort does not affect the number of things there are to do, with plenty of ways to spend your time. Costa Teguise is not as busy as some resorts in Lanzarote but there are plenty of shops, eateries and beaches.
There are 3 beaches in Costa Teguise. Playa de las Cucharas is the best but Playa Bastian is also good.
Costa Teguise has some good shops if you are in need of some retail therapy while you are on holiday. In particular, you should try La Cucharas Shopping Complex for general holiday goodies. Costa Teguise also has a market every Sunda, where you can buy a good range of local goods.
There are lots of restaurants in Costa Teguise; some worth a mention include Restaurant Montmatre, El Bocadito and Vesubio's. Especially for the Brits, there is a good old fish and chip shop and plenty of places to get a fry up if you can't wait 'til you get back home.
As for the nightlife, it is fairly laid–back in this part of Lanzarote. For a night on the tiles, start at the bars near the market place and then head to Mo vita later on. Legend's Bar has regular cabaret acts or you could try your luck at the casino. If this isn't enough for you, take a taxi to Puerto del Carmen. This is a much busier resort where you can dance the night away.
Activity–wise, there are lots of things on offer in Costa Teguise. You can have a go at some water sports such as sailing, snorkelling, diving and jet–skiing. On the way out of the resort, there is an 18–hole golf course and a fab water park. If you are prepared to travel a bit further, go to Timanfaya National Park and Arrecife. Puerto Calero is about 16km away. Here, you can go on a boat trip, submarine tour or take a camel ride!
