Palma is becoming very popular with weekend visitors.  The shopping here is fantastic with a massive range of large chains like Zara and Mango to designer boutiques and department stores scattered through the main busy streets and the narrow cobbled streets. Although if you are visiting for the weekend the shops close on Saturday pm until Monday.
Palma is only 8km from the airport and the cheapest way to make the trip is on the shuttle bus which runs every 15 minute throughout the day.

Palma celebrates the Fiesta of San Antoni, the patron saint of animals, in January. During this festival, the locals light bonfires, sing songs and enjoy traditional food. The event closes with a carnival parade. Also in January is the Fiesta of Sant Sebastia. This is the main event in Palma with live bands performing a wide variety of music on outdoor stages.
