Tenerife is the largest of all the Canary Islands, it's a year round destination with temperatures still in the 20's during the winter months. MonsterTravel has a great range of value holidays to Tenerife, from traditional package holidays from all the big tour operators Thomson, Thomas Cook to tailor–made holiday deals using separate flight and hotel providers.

The majority of tourists head south where the islands biggest resort, Playa de las Americas can be found, a particular favourite with the 18–30's crowd due to the huge range of bars and nightclubs on offer. For a quieter more upmarket holiday visit Costa Adeje which caters more for families and older couples but only a quick taxi ride away from its neighbour if you want a livelier night out. Just south of Playa de las Americas, is the quieter resort of Los Cristianos which is situated in a sheltered bay, perfect for sunbathing. Sit at one of the pavement cafes in the harbour and watch the fishing boats come and go or alternatively you could treat the kids to a visit to the Aquapark only a short bus ride away. In the North of the island you will find the oldest resort Puerto de la Cruz with its cobbled streets and historic buildings in the old town and shops, bars and restaurants in the new town to the East. If it's a peaceful holiday in beautiful surroundings combined with some hill walking and mountain biking then head for Vilaflor the highest village for fantastic views of the surrounding countryside and the sea beyond.

In the coastal resorts on the South of the island you will find your typical lively, developed resorts full of English pubs and nightlife that lasts well into the morning, however you can discover a different Tenerife by staying in the lesser known resorts of Guimar with its Pyramids and Guimar Volcano. Also worth a visit is the historic old town of Puerto de la Cruz with its tree lined streets and grand Colonial Buildings. For wine lovers head to Casa del Vino la Baranda, a wine museum with visitor centre just outside of El Sauzal.

In Tenerife there's a whole host of activities on offer including, fishing, diving and bungee jumping, attraction parks for the kids including an Aqua Park and Loro Parque in Puerto de la Cruz, a subtropical park home to everything from Killer whales to chimpanzees. The whole family will love the dolphin spotting boat trips. Also on offer are cable car rides to the top of Volcano El Teide, the highest point in Spain, whilst back at the beach resorts you'll find plenty of water sports activities.
